Vocational Rehabilitation Providers Can Apply for $4.2 Million in Grants to Improve Employment Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities
The Department of Labor & Industry is offering $4.2 million in grants fostering the development of new strategies and initiatives which will improve employment opportunities for individuals with significant disabilities. New i6 grants
Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced a new
$12 million innovation competition, in partnership with the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
and the National Science Foundation (NSF). EDA will award up to $1 million to each of six
teams around the country with the most innovative ideas to drive technology commercialization
and entrepreneurship. NIH and NSF will award a total of up to $6 million in additional funding
to NIH or NSF Small Business Innovation Research grantees associated with winning teams.
"This initiative promotes the priorities of the Obama Administration by driving innovation and
entrepreneurship, and cultivating strong public-private partnerships,” U.S. Commerce Secretary
Gary Locke said. “The i6 Challenge is an exciting opportunity to highlight some of the nation’s
top leaders who are moving ideas from the lab into the marketplace."
Entrepreneurs, investors, universities, foundations, and non-profits are encouraged to participate
in the i6 Challenge. The deadline for applications is July 15, 2010.
CVS Caremark Charitable Trust Offers Grants to Support Children with Disabilities and Uninsured or Underserved People With Healthcare Needs

The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, the private foundation of CVS Caremark Corporation, will award grants ranging between $10,000 and $50,000 to programs that help build skills, capabilities, and create opportunities for success for children under the age of 21 with disabilities. Applicant programs should address accessibility, inclusion, and awareness building; physical activity; early intervention; and rehabilitative services. Programs that promote wellness and obesity prevention for children of all abilities are also eligible.
The trust also offers grants to organizations that are dedicated to improving the quality of health and well-being of populations most difficult to reach, including uninsured or underserved seniors, adults, youth, and children. CVS Caremark Charitable Trust is particularly interested in programs that seek to provide a "medical home" for underserved populations and that provide screening, health promotion, and prevention efforts.
The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust accepts applications from organizations in forty-nine states, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. (The trust is not currently accepting applications from Alaska.)

DCED Destination Marketing grants
Assistance from the Pennsylvania Tourism Office is in the form of grants from the Commonwealth to eligible applicants for projects which conform to the eligibility criteria detailed in the program guidelines.

Established in 1954, the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation was developed as a repository of funds from individuals who wished to contribute to the betterment of children in this country. CSBG Innovation grants
$200 million loan fund for small biz
[From Philanthropy Today] The banking giant Citigroup is teaming up with two nonprofit organizations on a $200-million loan fund for small firms in low- and moderate-income areas, The Washington Post writes.
Citigroup will put up $199-million for the Communities at Work Fund, with the rest coming from the Calvert Foundation, a nonprofit investment group, and the Opportunity Finance Network of community lenders. Calvert will manage the fund.
