What We Fund
Signature Employment Grants seeks to fund cutting-edge, non-traditional solutions and/or social ventures that increase employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. These may include new pilot initiatives or demonstration projects or other social ventures that are innovative and lead to the generation of new ideas to solve unemployment. It is necessary that at least 65% of the grant target population be individuals with mobility disabilities or cognitive impairments primarily from neurological disorders
Projects must be collaborative, serve a large geographic area and include multiple funding partners and stakeholders. In addition, initiatives or projects must have the potential for growth, scalability or replication. Preference will be given for interventions (but are not limited to) that overcome specific employment barriers related to long-term dependence on public assistance, advance competitive employment in a cost effective manner, launch a micro-enterprise, social or individual entrepreneurship project.
