This workshop offers nonprofit managers, development staff and grant writers with little or no experience in Federal government grant seeking an opportunity to learn about and discuss three elements of successful grant applications:
(1) agency-level preparation;
(2) proposal planning, writing and budgeting; and
(3) navigating the online submission process.
The presenter, Katherine F.H. Heart, M.Ed., is President of Heart Resources, LLC, and an experienced grant writer, consultant and trainer. Her social enterprise company offers program planning, and proposal research and writing for public health projects. During the recession, she coached first-time federal grant applicants and consulted with agencies on various approaches to survival, including in-depth research and strategic positioning for Federal grants.
The fee to attend this workshop is $20 per person, which includes a light continental breakfast. It can be paid at the door with either cash or a check made payable to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
