Workforce Development Trainer and Consultant, Judith Lorei will offer a full-day, hands on training on the best practices in workforce development programming. By the end of the session participants will be able to:
* Identify skills and strategies for initiating successful relationships with employers and communicate with them using business language
* Identify the value of their services to employers and ways to use that knowledge in their approach
* Understand the basic concepts of sector-based prospecting and how to apply them to programming.
The workshop will be held on September 28, 2010 at the Valley of Erie Scottish Rite between 9AM and 4PM. Lunch will be provided. All Strengthening Erie's Workforce trainings are free. Click here to register!
ReTool Erie, a partnership of The Erie Community Foundation, The Nonprofit Partnership, and the Regional Center for Workforce Excellence, is a new project aimed at strengthening local nonprofits focused on workforce development.
