Positive Pathways Program RFP

MANY has released the Request for Proposals for the Positive Pathways Program (P3) to reduce community violence & improve the long-term labor market prospects of youth currently or formerly involved with the juvenile justice system. This program is funded by an $8.5 million demonstration grant, Serving Juvenile Offenders in High-Poverty, High-Crime Communities Project, from the Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration. MANY is pleased to announce the availability of P3 sub-award funding to nonprofits serving communities with high poverty and high crime rates. MANY expects to provide five awards ranging from $750,000-$1,500,000 to address a project period of 24 months. Nonprofits nationwide, registered as a 501c(3) and serving geographic areas that meet the threshold of high-crime, high-poverty communities are eligible to apply for P3funding.

The Positive Pathways Program at each of the five sites will offer youth a menu of services including workforce development, education & training, and mentoring. Each youth will work in partnership with a Pathways Coach to set individual goals and ensure they receive the full range of services and linkages to community programs. Uniquely designed with a holistic and youth focused approach, the Positive Pathways Program promises to make a lasting impact not only on the lives of these youth, but also the long-term success of their families and communities.

MANY will also work closely and provide technical assistance with the selected communities to convene community and faith-based organizations, agencies, and businesses with at-risk youth in the creation and implementation of a vision plan to reduce violence in the community.
